This morning was one of those special moments that make all the hard work and dedication feel incredibly worthwhile. I shot my best round of golf to date—73 at Maleny, just 4 over par. What’s even more exciting is that I left a few shots out there, so it could have been even better. It’s hard to describe how satisfying it felt to play such consistent and solid golf.
Reflecting on where I started this year, it’s almost unbelievable. Back in January 2024, my best round was a 96. I knew I needed to make a change if I wanted to see improvements. That’s when I decided to commit to playing more golf and joined the Sunshine Coast Golf Club (SCGC) in May 2024. Little did I know then that this decision would be a game-changer.
Since becoming a member of SCGC, my game has transformed. The facilities and the guidance I’ve received have played a crucial role in this improvement. It’s amazing to think that just a few months ago, shooting in the 70s seemed like a distant dream, yet here I am. The support and environment at SCGC have been instrumental in my progress, and I am truly grateful.
What’s also exciting is that my friends have noticed the changes in my game. They’ve been asking about my secret to improvement, and I’ve been quick to share that it’s all about the SCGC. I’ve told them that if they’re serious about improving their golf, they need to commit to it just like I did. I’m hopeful that some of them will give SCGC a try and see the same kind of results.
I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for SCGC and the fantastic facilities and atmosphere that have supported my journey. The progress I’ve made is a testament to the quality of the club and the dedication of its team. I’m genuinely enjoying the journey and excited to see where this path takes me next.
For anyone considering making a change in their golf game, I highly recommend taking the plunge. Commit to practicing, seek out the right guidance, and you might just surprise yourself with how quickly you can improve. Here’s to more rounds in the 70s and celebrating even more milestones ahead!
Feel free to share your own golfing journeys or any tips you’ve found helpful. I’d love to hear from fellow golfers who are also on their path to improvement.
